About Department Of Commerce
The Department of Commerce at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati College, Junnar, stands as one of the most distinguished departments under Savitribai Phule Pune University. Under the leadership of Dr. S. J. Jadhav, the department has witnessed consistent growth and development. The undergraduate (B.Com.) and postgraduate (M.Com.) programs offer a broad spectrum of career opportunities in Accounting & Taxation, Banking, and Finance. The establishment of the Research Centre in 2006 has further reinforced the department’s academic foundation, equipping students with advanced research capabilities and practical expertise to navigate global economic complexities confidently. In addition, the department has successfully conducted specialized courses in Tally ERP 9 and Tableau, providing students especially those from rural backgrounds—with a solid grounding in key financial competencies such as accounting software, bookkeeping, financial data analysis, and inventory management.
